Dissolve for a Cause supports 350.org

In anticipation of the People’s Climate March in Washington D.C. this past April, international environmental organization 350.org wanted to create videos to help educators talk to students about the climate crisis. They already had some environmental heavyweights lined up for the video — founder Bill McKibben, NASA climate scientist James Hansen, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, and former EPA official Mustafa Ali — but the budget was tight.

Filmmaker Noah Hutton turned to Dissolve for a Cause to help with their stock footage needs. We created the program to support videos dedicated to building awareness of an issue, encouraging giving, or fighting injustice. Under Dissolve for a Cause, agencies, studios, and other storytellers working on pro bono projects can qualify for up to $2,500 in stock footage. The 350.org videos were a great fit and are the first to include footage provided through the program.

Used in the lead-up to the People’s Climate March, these teach-in videos are a state-of-the-union on the current situation with climate change, along with solutions for combating runaway global warming.
