“Snackin’ with Sasquatch: Carpool” — Ads We Didn’t Skip
Ad: “Snackin’ with Sasquatch: Carpool,” Jack Link’s
Agency: Carmichael Lynch
Why: With Jack Link’s sponsoring today’s launch of Clickhole — the Onion’s amazing gift to the Internet — all but one of the videos includes its pre-roll. There’s no escape. (Except if you watch the one that’s silly but makes a good point.)
However, I love the Onion and was prepared to love everything about Clickhole — even its advertising. And business guys carpooling with a sasquatch? What’s that all about?!
Will I buy what they’re selling?: Yup. I’ve never been precious about jerky brands, but Jack Link’s has amused me (with a two-year-old ad) and demonstrated its good taste by associating itself with one of my favorite brands, so now it’s my go-to jerky. Advertising works, kids!
Be amused by all the offbeat spots.
